While Apple enthusiasts have been waiting for the new Apple foldable to launch soon, a new report has delineated that the phone would possibly launch in 2026. As of yet no confirmation has been provided by Apple, Considering the hype for Apple’s first foldable the rumour mill has reached a fevered pitch for the new phone. A new leak by Digital Chat Station claims that they have exclusive information about the alleged screen dimensions of the phone.
New Screen Size For The Apple Foldable
The Device is now being ascribed to as the Apple Big Foldable. And as per the leak it has a 5.49 inch over display, a bit like that of the new Oppo Find but a little bit shorter and narrower. The Shorter Screen Size could lead to a short and wider screen which would be around 16:9 formfactor. This could be change that would require getting used to.
As per the previous leaks there were alleged rumors about how the Phone would fold out to the size of a iPad. But the new leaks report that the foldable would be a phone with a foldable with normal attributes rather than being a big foldable that would fold out to the size of the iPad. Beyond that a flip phone is seemingly in the works as well.
Apples Foldable To have Chinese Tech?
Mark Grumman has shared his opinion about how the possible launch of the new iPhone would be around next year. According to the new leaks as per a supply chain report, the company has now been able to harness the Chinese manufacturers lens technology to manufacture Ultra Thin Glass. As per the new leaks its has been confirmed that the Ultra Thin Glass would be placed on top of the folding panel.
The Chinese manufacturer Lens Technology would secure about 70% of Apple’s UTG orders. Corning would probably be supplying the raw materials necessary for the production as per the recent report. Lens Technology was recently chosen by Apple thanks to its favorable position as a mass market proprietary manufacturer. Beyond their presence in the market their financial resources for UTG manufacturing has become the reason behind Apple choosing them as their manufacturer.

It has become apparent that the manufacturer is especially good in glass etching, strengthening and minimizing side cracks after cutting. The Supplier would soon expand its UTG production line later this year, in advance before the starting of the new production spree for the new Apple phone.
As per the new leaks it has become apparent that Apple wants a screen that is thinner in the middle. This would allow the phone to fold seamlessly without any creases.
