New Delhi: US tech giant Apple said it is working on a software update for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max aimed at fixing a bug that causes the device’s rear camera to physically shake when used with some third-party apps
The iPhone maker said it will bring a fix for the camera shake issue on its iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max smartphones by next week.
Some users of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, which launched on September 7, took to social media to complain about the camera bug. According to the news agency Bloomberg, the problem is the result of the optical image stabilization hardware not working in some cases with third-party applications.

Users have complained about the bug preventing camera features from social media apps like Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, but it doesn’t seem to affect Apple’s pre-installed camera capabilities.
The software fix would be at least the second for the iPhone 14 so far. On the day of launch, users were asked to update to iOS 16.0.1 to resolve the issue related to FaceTime activation.
The new camera system on the iPhone 14 Pro, which for the first time includes a 48-megapixel sensor for the main lens, is one of the major upgrades for this year’s device. The phone also has a software interface at the top of the device known as Dynamic Island that works with the updated camera cutout and displays information such as routes on a map or the status of AirPods.
