Tech giants such as Sony, Apple and Samsung have witnessed a expanding market in India. Hence its pretty evident that every tech manufacturer plans of increased investment in India to reach a higher echelon of market trade.
Similar has been the case with Apple, this year Apple is expected to double down its presence in India. With retail expansion being the primary focus of the manufacturer as of yet it would embark on the next stage of trade expansion in the country. The Apple Store App Launch would initiate the gradual push necessary for what is to come from Apples arsenal for the next few months.
Beyond retail plans Apple would also be initiating education and environment focused social initiatives in India.
Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s head of Retail Online
Apples approach at every aspect of growth and development has been customer centric. To take a step ahead we have introduced the Apple Store App to reach even more users in India. Through our initiatives we plan to make shopping for apple products as easy as possible. Beyond that through this approach we plan to provide our customers with a personalized experience and support.
Increasing Online footprint
The Apple Store app launch is another integral step in increasing the online retail footprint of Apple in India. All of Apples products and services would be listed at the online store as well. The personalized experience would hold key importance in bringing users online to the apple store. Personalized recommendations would further make the transition easier.
The online store would replicate all the functionality of a offline store with retail programs including Apple Trade In, Payment Offers across product lines, and financing offers, including bank discounts. Beyond all that apple has taken a step further in online shopping as it would provide optional personal setup sessions too, these would help a buyer navigate along the website and choose a device that suits their needs the best.
Product Customizations
Beyond the phones and other appliances Apple also sells Mac, which is offered with a great deal of customization options. And hence the online store would also provide the users with such functionalities as well. Users would be able to add more memory or storage, bundle purchases with their orders, and even engrave their initials on Air Pods, ipad.
Apple Being Perceptive Of Past Market Growth
Apple has been receptive of the increasing iPhone sales in India, the iPhone shipments are growing significantly year on year in India. The momentum of the overall growth had become clear in 2023 itself, when Indian gained the moniker for being the largest stand alone country sized market for Apples iPhone growth.
And the other appliances are not far behind the sales figure of the iPhone, Apples iPad too delivered the manufacturer considerable sales, with a total revenue of around $7 billion and an 8% year on year increase.
Tim Cook had already confirmed Apples Plan for India Before
“We can’t wait to bring four new stores to customers in India,” he had said, during the Q4 earnings call. These new stores will join Apple Saket in New Delhi and Apple BKC in Mumbai, which opened in April 2023. Though Apple has not officially communicated location pins on the map just yet, Delhi and Mumbai could see a new store each, with Bengaluru and Pune in the mix as well. For now, no confirmed timelines for when these stores officially open their glass doors for customers, but all four are expected in 2025.
