New Delhi: The 2014-released iPhone 6 has been included to Apple’s roster of classic products.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will now be classified as antiques, just like the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were in February 2022, according to AppleInsider.

The tech giant kept selling the iPhone 6 as its entry-level model even after the iPhone 6s emerged. Sales ultimately ceased when the iPhone 7 was introduced in 2016.

With the introduction of the iPhone 6 series, the larger “Plus” model of the iPhone became originally available. It also had a brand-new design with curved edges that took the place of the flat-edged style from the iPhone 4 through iPhone 5s.

Apple Pay, a secure method for users to make online transactions by keeping their credit and debit cards in the Wallet app, was unveiled alongside the iPhone 6 by Apple.

When it stopped selling one of its products more than five years—but less than seven years—ago, the tech giant judged it to be vintage.

For up to seven years, or as long as is needed by law, it offers repair and replacement parts for historical goods.
