New Delhi: Amazon.com Inc (Amazon.com Inc) said it will discontinue its Indian operations. India’s market of 1.4 billion people has also not escaped Amazon CEO Andy Jassy’s cost-cutting campaign. According to Bloomberg, the company says its food delivery and door-to-door delivery services for small businesses are not going away. It has been decided to discontinue these services.
Because of this, several hundreds of thousands of Amazon employees will be laid off. A person related to the matter says this will make Amazon completely dependent on the online retail business in India.
