Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale 2025: Putting an end to the anxious wait of shoppers, Amazon India has officially announced that its Great Indian Festival Sale 2025 will go live on September 23. The announcement came a day after the government announced new Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms, which will take effect on September 22.
The new GST rates will affect a wide range of goods and services, including footwear priced under Rs 2,500, as well as handbags, chocolates, and namkeens. Everyday food items will now be taxed at 5% instead of 18%.

While recently announcing that the sale is “coming soon”, the company had teased deals on laptops, smartphones, smart TVs, ACs, and home appliances from brands such as Apple, Samsung, iQOO, OnePlus, Boat, HP, and Sony. Amazon also announced a 10 per cent instant discount on select bank cards, including EMI transactions, during the upcoming sale.

Amazon has announced that SBI debit and credit card holders will get a 10 per cent instant discount during the upcoming sale. The same offer applies to SBI credit card EMI transactions. Shoppers can also expect up to 40 per cent off on smartphones from Apple, Samsung, iQOO, and OnePlus, along with their accessories.
Additionally, electronics and accessories from Samsung, HP, Sony, and Boat will be available at discounts of up to 80 per cent. Home appliances from Godrej, Haier, Samsung, and LG will also be offered at up to 65 per cent off.
Exchange bonuses, cashback offers, and interest-free EMI options will further benefit customers looking to buy electronics during the sale. Smart TVs and projectors from LG, Xiaomi, Samsung, and Sony will be available at discounts of up to 65 per cent.
Amazon’s smart home Echo devices, including Kindle e-readers, Alexa, and Fire TV, will be offered at discounts of up to 50 per cent.
