Yashasvi Jaiswal Makes Shocking Move, Sets Sights On Mumbai Return!

The young batter has now had a change of heart. In a letter to the MCA, Jaiswal explained that his earlier decision was influenced by his family’s intention.

In an unexpected development, Yashasvi Jaiswal has approached the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) with a request to continue representing Mumbai in domestic cricket. This comes just weeks after he had received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the MCA to make a move to the Goa team.

Jaiswal was reportedly offered the captaincy role at Goa and had initially planned the switch. However, according to a report by The Indian Express, the young batter has now had a change of heart. In a letter to the MCA, Jaiswal explained that his earlier decision was influenced by his family’s intention to relocate to Goa, plans that have since been shelved.

In his communication, Jaiswal clarified that he has not submitted the NOC to either the BCCI or the Goa Cricket Association. He formally requested the MCA to allow him to withdraw the NOC and continue playing for Mumbai.

“I kindly request you to consider my application for withdrawal of the NOC, as my family’s plans to move to Goa have changed. Therefore, I wish to stay with Mumbai this season,” Jaiswal wrote in his email.
