LA Knight got off of television. The megastar received an ambush during the December 8 episode aired on Monday Night Raw. At the end of the show, he was defeated in a solo bout by Logan Paul due to an interference by a masked attacker who was later disclosed to be Austin Theory. Who used a stomp on the announce table, which paved the way for Paul's frog splash victory.
Post-match chaos results in Knight’s indefinite absence
After the match, The Vision surprised Knight in the backstage area. The latter managed to hold his ground for a short period but was soon overpowered. In a horrific display, Reed and Paul lifted Knight to the top a car, where Reed executed a deadly Tsunami splash, rendering the wrestler unconscious by the time paramedical team put him on stretcher.

Fightful shuts down rumours surrounding LA Knight’s WWE absence
The wrestling community has been buzzing with rumours since the incident that the attack angle on WWE RAW was done to stop LA Knight's momentum. Many of them were blaming HHH, alleging he was trying to silence Knight. But, in a recent Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp cleared these rumors. He stated very firmly that Knight's absence is nothing but a storyline, not any conspiracy against him.
Fightful reiterates LA Knight’s WWE absence is storyline
A few days back Sapp gave a similar statement that dismissed all these rumors. Yet somehow and for some reason, fans are still convinced that there is something fishy behind the curtains.
“Man, I just don’t get this. He was booked to go to the finals of the John Cena tournament, and beat Jey Uso along the way. I can’t speak to his future outside of him having years left on his contract, but I don’t see it as a burial.
Not everyone can be the world champion at the same time. I think this is the type of reaction WWE wants to conjure up, and I’ve been saying that since August. He’s off until 2026 at least.”
