WWE SmackDown began with Drew McIntyre, who arrived in Austin, Texas in where it seemed that he was heading back behind the scenes when he was halted by the General Manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis. Aldis reminded McIntyre that although he defeated his opponent in WarGames match on the weekend during the Men’s edition, the former WWE champion is still suspended and hence should leave the arena.
Tensions explode as Cody Rhodes attacks McIntyre
McIntyre appeared to be returning to his automobile when he was assaulted by Cody Rhodes in his car and beaten by the man who once was a tag team champion and that’s where he would be sent to the ring. The evening started with Cody Rhodes talking to the crowd at the Moody Centre, which is in his childhood home of Austin, Texas. He summoned Nick Aldis into the ring and asked him to bring Drew McIntyre to the WWE.

Rhodes promises brutal payback following McIntyre’s reckless bus attack
Cody’s rage towards McIntyre’s extraordinarily aggressive attack on him is his bus a few weeks ago was quite understandable, considering the fact that his wife and children also take the same bus, and McIntyre’s behavior endangered them. He promised to smash the Scotsman into a million pieces like a cockroach once Aldis brings him back to the brand.
