Apparently, former WWE star Braun Strowman was disliked by the whole world when he first came to the main roster. After signing with the company in early 2013, Braun Strowman made it to WWE's main roster in 2015. Taking his very limited presence in developmental into consideration, he reportedly did not receive a warm welcome from either fans or the locker room.

Career highlights and championship achievements before WWE Exit

During his time with The Wyatt Family and afterwards as a single fighter, he managed to acquire the Universal Title and the Intercontinental Championship once each, besides being a Tag Team champion two times, among several other recognitions. Before his departure from WWE in 2021, the last time he showed up in the company was when he wrestled with Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash.

Strowman subsequently made a comeback to the Stamford-based organization once more in 2022, eventually letting go of the company when his contract ran out in July of this year. In a recent visit to Bert Kreischer's YouTube channel, Braun Strowman recounted the story of his ascent to the main roster.

Braun Strowman's statement

The ex-champion of Universal discussed and explained that he was loathed not only by the fans but also the wrestlers behind the scenes, just because he had not been in NXT for a long time. This was, no doubt, a surprise to the crowd, who needed a little time to get used to him:

"I did one dark match in NXT and then I did three house shows in NXT… We were the only four [AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson] that skipped NXT. So we skipped NXT and kind of went straight to the main roster which is like really wild for me because like I said, coming in, not born into the business, didn’t come through the indies, so I was an outsider. I was hated. Everyone was like ‘f** this big guy and all this sh*… He didn’t pay his dues thing.”
