WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is among the most followed sporting events in the world. Sony Sports Network has been broadcasting WWE in India from a long time. However, the WWE audience will see a major change in the broadcast of the event in India from January 2025. The biggest wrestling entertainment event in the world is all set to transfer the its media rights all across the globe to Netflix on a ten-year deal. The valuation for the same is USD 5 billion. The deal was signed by WWE’s parent company TK0 Group Holdings with Netflix earlier this year. In India the media rights are with SPNI (Sony Pictures Network India) until March 2025, however, the viewers can watch it on Netflix as well.

WWE Set To Transfer Media Rights To Netflix
In 2020, the Sony Pictures Network India renewed its deal for an estimated amount of USD 180 to 120 million for five years. However, SPNI was ready to extend the deal but Netflix is aiming to extend its legs in India and secure the market. Starting from January 2025, Netflix will be streaming WWE’s major events such as Raw, Smackdown, NXT and other PLE’s in major market countries such as USA, UK, Canada and South America.

The major WWE events which is all set to take place is the WrestleMania. The 41st edition of the major WWE event is set to be held in from April 19 to 20 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This will also be John Cena’s farewell tour in 2025.
