The main bout saw a hard-fought Intercontinental Championship match. Let’s get into the Raw results.
John Cena and Cody Rhodes’ Segment
John Cena started the show by disrespecting the audience, just as he had done before. He confidently declared that he would ruin wrestling and said that he would become champion for the 17th time at WrestleMania 41. Cena further declared that he was going to retire as a champion, planning on holding the title forever. This unexpected news left the audience stunned. Cody Rhodes then emerged, tackling Cena. Rhodes informed Cena that if he wanted to become the champion, he’d have to go through him. Rhodes even laid out the championship as a gauntlet but Cena walked away. The crowd responded harshly to Cena’s actions.
