This presented an intriguing situation, with the Chamber victor being a heel returning to the main event or a babyface heel turn. Although it was assumed Rhodes would turn down The Rock’s proposal, the idea remained that The Rock would discover a champion to battle Rhodes’ wars for him.

The Rock was upset about Rhodes’ move and signaled to Cena to turn against the current champion by assaulting Cody.
Travis Scott and The Rock contributed to the beating, leaving a battered Rhodes in the ring. With no one coming to assist Rhodes, announcer Michael Cole entered the ring to attend to the champion after the group had vacated the area.
According to the analysis, the long-time WWE fan favorite John Cena surprised the crowd with his abrupt heel turn. This turn creates a new element of drama as Cena begins what will likely be the last year of his professional wrestling career. With a possible win at WrestleMania, Cena might edge out Ric Flair as the all-time most successful world champion.
