WWE Backlash 2025 proved to be a blockbuster show. Jacob Fatu began the event by defending his United States Championship against Drew McIntyre, LA Knight, and Damian Priest in an action-packed Fatal 4-Way match. The four superstars played their best and impressed the fans. The match saw almost every nasty move featured in professional wrestling.
Jacob Fatu triumphantly defended his title—but with a little bit of assistance. He had some help from two unlikely sources. A new and menacing wrestler made his debut at Backlash and shocked the WWE Universe by assisting Fatu to victory. Hardly anyone was expecting what happened next.
Mayhem In The Fatal 4-Way Match
The US Title Fatal 4-Way match was building towards its climax, with all four superstars driving themselves to their limits. Drew McIntyre had victory within his grasp when he was interrupted by Damian Priest, and the two fought into the crowd. There, Priest put McIntyre down with a shocking “South of Heaven” slam through a table. Priest did, however, hurt himself too. Neither were able to struggle back to their feet afterwards.
Back in the ring, LA Knight and Jacob Fatu were exchanging blows. Knight was preparing to deliver an elbow drop to Fatu from the top rope onto the announce table. Out of nowhere, Solo Sikoa jumped in and pulled Fatu out of danger. Shortly after, Jeff Cobb stunned everyone by making his debut and brutally attacking LA Knight.
With Knight weakened, Fatu had no difficulty capitalizing. He attacked Knight with a Hip Attack followed by a Moonsault in the ring and pinned him to keep the US Title.

Who Is Jeff Cobb?
Jeff Cobb, 42, recently signed with WWE. He spent the past eight years as a main star in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he debuted in 2017. Cobb has also impressed fans in AEW and has produced several top-shelf matches on the independent scene.
Although Jeff Cobb is not an actual member of Anoa’i Bloodline, he has now been included with Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline faction. Interestingly, Jacob Fatu didn’t seem too happy. He was clearly taken aback and even a bit shaken by Cobb’s entrance.
Now, the question on everyone’s mind is: What’s next for Jeff Cobb in WWE?
