The Women’s Premier League 2025 auction was successfully commenced in Bengaluru wherein INR 09.05 crores were spent by five franchises for 19 top players all across the globe. Simran Shaikh turned out to be the most expensive pick and achieved a price of INR 1.90 crores by the Gujarat Giants. Apart from Simran, players such as Deandra Dottin, G Kamalini, Prema Rawat stole the limelight and were picked up for whopping prices. Dottin was also picked up by GG for a price of INR 1.70 crores making her the first pick of the WPL 2025 auction whereas Kamalini was picked by Mumbai Indians for INR 1.60 crores. The 16-year old Tamil Nadu all-rounder has been under the headlines with her previous performances.
