New Delhi: Sophie Ecclestone turned the game upside down for Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Saturday (March 18) as they ended MI’s unbeaten run in the tournament. UPW defeated high-flying Harmanpreet’s side by 5 wickets.
Ecclestone finishes off in style
Sophie Ecclestone finished the game with a six, she played the unbeaten innings of 16 runs of 17 balls. Grace harris was the highest run scorer for the UPW as she scored 39 runs of 28 balls.

MI batters crumbles against UPW
MI lost their top five without crossing over into three figures before the 15th over. They were eventually all out for 127 runs. MI then made a good start to their defence, taking three wickets in the first seven overs, including that of the dangerous Alyssa Healy.
The match remains in the balance with Amelia Kerr getting Tahlia McGrath, who had brought the UPW chase on track. Mumbai Indians are the only unbeaten side left in the competition and they have looked the part thus far as well.

Ecclestone bags three wickets
Earlier in the game, Ecclestone bagged three wickets and apart from her, Rajeshwari Gaikwad and Deepti Sharma bagged two wickets each and Anjani Sarvani got one wicket.
UP Warriorz won the toss and decided to bowl first against Mumbai Indians.
