New Delhi: Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians totally dominated the first inning of the match against Delhi Capitals at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Saika Ishaque, Issy Wong and Hayley Matthews scalped 3-wickets apiece as Delhi Capitals collapsed for 105.

Saika Ishaque highest wicket-taker in WPL
Saika Ishaque had cleaned up Shafali Verma. The opener never looked settled at the crease and eventually perished for 2 runs off 6 balls. It is the seventh wicket in the tournament for Ishaque, who is the purple cap holder.

Jemimah Rodrigue was playing carefully, but then she was removed by Ishaque as she picked up her second wicket of the day. After that, Ishaque trapped the biggest fish in the pond, skipper Meg Lanning. The latter was caught by Harmanpreet Kaur.

Delhi fails to perform
Delhi Capitals batter was falling like a pack of cards in front of Mumbai’s bowlers. Issy Wong removed Marizanne Kapp, Taniy Bhatia and Radha Yadav.
Hayley Mathews also joined hands with Ishaque and Wong. The all-rounder then sends back Jess Jonassen, Minnu Mani and Tara Norris. Pooja Vastrakar got one wicket as she picked-up Alice Capsey’s wickets.
Meg Lanning was the highest run scorer for Delhi Capitals (43) off 41 balls.
Earlier in the game, Meg Lanning won the toss and decided to bats first.
