New Delhi: In the ongoing World wrestling championships, India olympic silver medalist Ravi Dahiya has been kicked out the competition as he lost his bout against Gulomkon Abdullaev of Uzbekistan on Friday. Naveen Punia has, however, entered in bronze medal match after beating World no. 4 Syrbaz Talgat of Uzbekistan.
Ravi Dahiya loses by Technical superiority
Dahiya lost to his opponents by technical superiority (10-0) in a one-sided bout. He lost his chance to fight in the repechage as Abdullaev lost to Albanian wrestler Zelimkhan Abakarov. Abdullaev has always been a threat to the Indian player multiple times in the past.
Commonwealth Games champion Naveen will face Ernazar Akmatalieve of Kyrgyzstan in his bronze medal match later on Friday evening.
