New Delhi: The super six of ODI World Cup qualification round is underway in Zimbabwe. The top three teams of the initial rounds, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands, and the West Indies from Group A, and Oman, Sri Lanka, and Scotland from Group B, made up the Super Six of the qualification.

Sri Lanka qualifies for WC
Sri Lanka, who won the World Cup in 1996, became the first team to qualify for the World Cup 2023, which is set to play in India in October and November. After the Islander, either Zimbabwe, Scotland, or the Netherlands will make their way to India for the mega tournament.
Zimbabwe eyes to seal spot
Zimbabwe are the strongest contender for the qualification. In 4 played matches, the host has won the 3. On the other hand, Scotland won 2 out of 3 played games. The Netherlands is third on the list with 2 won and 2 lost.
What is World Cup Qualifier format
The top three teams from Groups A and B will use the points earned from their respective victories over teams from their own groups moving forward. For instance, the inaugural points table for the Super Sixes will include Zimbabwe’s points from games against fellow Group A participants West Indies and Netherlands. Zimbabwe defeated both teams and will begin the game with four points after two games.
Who will qualify for the WC
The top teams at the end of Super Six stage will make their way for the final and also qualify for the ODI World Cup, irrespective of the result of the summit clash.
