Star Pakistan cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi on Tuesday became the fastest fast bowler to pick 100 ODI wickets during his teams’ World Cup 2023 league match against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Shaheen Afridi pinned Tanzid Hasan leg before off the fifth ball of the game to achieve the feat. The batter reviewed, but it turned out that the ball was clipping the top of his leg stump.
The left-arm pacer reached the milestone in 51 matches, overtaking Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc’s record of 52 ODIs.
