Australia, World Cup 2023: In the World Cup 2023, Australian team is in bad shape. This team has faced defeat in both its opening matches in the current tournament.

In the first match, the Indian team defeated Australia by 6 wickets. Now in the second match, South Africa has defeated Australia by 134 runs. This is the first time in the history of the World Cup since 1992 that a team has lost both its opening matches.

This happened for the first time in 48 years of World Cup

Who would have thought that the five-time champion Kangaroo team would be in such bad condition. This team was one of the favorites before the tournament. But now the team lost in the first two matches to such an extent that the morale of the fans must have fallen. 

In the World Cup 2019 too, the team had lost last two matches. It was defeated by South Africa in the last league match. So the team had to face defeat at the hands of England in the semi-finals. Now in 2023, the team lost first two matches.

It means that Australian team has lost four consecutive matches of the World Cup. This is happening for the first time in 48 years of history. The first ODI World Cup was played in 1975.

With this defeat, it has also become Australia’s biggest defeat in the ODI World Cup in terms of runs. South Africa won the match by 134 runs and the Kangaroo team was limited to just 177 runs. Playing first, South Africa had scored 311 runs.
