New Delhi: West Indies captain Hayley Matthews has won the toss and chose to bat first. India started their World Cup champeign on a winning against Pakistan in their opening encounter by 7-wickets.

“We wanted to bat today. Last game we chased. Today, the wicket is looking a little better compared to the last game. We wanted to bat first. Smriti and Devika are back. We know them. We played a couple of games before the tournament,” Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said.
