While Team India has already bagged one win in the tournament, it is Pakistan who could get hurt by the match being abandoned as they have already experienced a humiliating defeat at the hands of co-hosts and World Cup debutants USA earlier.

What Happens If India vs Pakistan Is Washed Out?

India secured their first win against Ireland by eight wickets, thanks to a gritty half-century from Rohit Sharma. In contrast, Pakistan faced a shocking defeat against the United States. Led by Babar Azam, Pakistan experienced a mini-collapse during their batting and their lackluster bowling led to a loss in the Super Over.

If the upcoming match is washed out, both India and Pakistan will receive one point each. This would give Pakistan 1 point from 2 matches, necessitating wins in their remaining matches against Canada and Ireland to secure a spot in the Super 8, assuming the United States loses both of their remaining matches.

Meanwhile, India would have 3 points from 2 matches. They could secure their place in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 by winning either of their matches against the United States or Canada.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
