Legendary boxer Mike Tyson suffered a loss against social media sensation Jake Paul in his first fight after nearly decade. The match went through a lot of problems as the fans faced streaming issues on Netflix whereas spectators left the stadium in Dallas before the main event was finished. The 58-year-old legendary fighter seemed to outmatched against Jake Paul. Paul secured judges’ score of 80-72 and 79-73 again. Television presenter Ariel Helwani questioned affected Tyson after the match regarding his performance and knee injury.

Why Was Mike Tyson Biting His Gloves During Netflix Fight Against Jake Paul?

Ariel Helwani asked, “The broadcast team was debating what you were doing with your gloves, was it a mouthpiece issue or were you just biting on your glove?.” Tyson responded, “I have a habit of biting my gloves when I fight,” and added, “I have a biting fixation.” As quoted by ‘The Mirror’, Mike Tyson heaped praise for Jake Paul and admitted that he was prepared for the match. Tyson later stated that he was very happy with his performance and added that he had no point to prove to anyone.

Mike Tyson said,  “I am happy. “I knew he was a good fighter. I knew he was prepared. I didn’t prove nothing to anybody, only to myself. I am just happy with what I can do.” The rivalry between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul heated up at that moment when the legendary boxer slammed Paul ahead of the most anticipated match. However, after the end of the match, there were claims that the match was fixed and leak of the script circulated on the social media.
