George’s last Twitter post was on October 31, 2024. The boxing legend posted his picture along with the caption, “Can you believe 50 years ago, the “Rumble in the Jungle,” fighting Muhammad Ali. Who Was George Foreman?
George Foreman was a two-time heavyweight champion who initially rose to fame after winning a gold medal at the 1968 Olympics. He later became a two-time heavyweight world champion and a Hall of Fame inductee. One of the most unforgettable moments occurred in 1974 when he contested against Muhammad Ali in the legendary Rumble in Zaire’s Jungle.
Foreman was knocked out in the eighth round, which is widely recognized as the most popular boxing match of all time.
