Yuki Bhambri is India’s professional tennis player known for his success in the doubles. Born on July 4, 1992, Bhambri turned into a tennis professional in 2008 and he is a right-handed player with two-handed backhand.
He was the Australia Open Junior Champion in 2009 becoming India’s first ever player to achieve the big feat. He then earned a silver and bronze in 2010 Youth Olympic games and bronze medals in singles and doubles of 2014 Asian Games. Bhambri even achieved a career-high ranking of No.26 in March 2025.

Recently, India’s Yuki Bhambri and his New Zealand partner Michael Venus have secured a place in men’s doubles semifinals of the US Open 2025 on Thursday. The Indo-Kiwi duo shocked the 11th seeded pair Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram with a dominant 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 victory on Court 17 in New York.
Bhambri currently is ranked world no. 32 and is the top ranked men’s doubles player in India. He has now scripted history and will be facing Britain’s Neal Skupski and Joe Sailsbury in Friday’s semi-final match. The achievement is also a significant milestone for Bhambri who last year reached the pre-quarter final at the US Open last year with Frenchman Albano Olivetti.
