Famous England all-rounder Sam Curran and his family has contributed a lot to the game of cricket. Curran and his brother Tom are active cricketers for England whereas their father Kevin Curran played international cricket team for Zimbabwe. Following the trend, Sam and Tom’s elder brother Ben Curran has been picked up for the Zimbabwe’s T20I and ODI squad for the white-ball series against Zimbabwe. Ben moved to Zimbabwe for playing first-class cricket from England and now will look to perform well like his brothers did for England.

Tom and Sam Curran congratulated their brother Ben for making it Zimbabwe’s ODI and T20I squad. Sam Curran wrote on ‘X’, “Such special news, couldn’t be happier for you BC.. Someone will be looking down with a huge smile on their face today.” Following his younger brother Sam Curran, Tom also congratulated Ben by sharing a tweet on ‘X’. Tom Curran posted on his Instagram story, “Ditto that. Very Proud.”

How Did Kevin Curran Move From Zimbabwe To England?
Kevin Curran played a total of 11 ODI matches for Zimbabwe as a fast-bowling all-rounder. Curran picked up nine wickets and scored 287 runs with two fifties. Kevin Curran had a pretty fruitful career while playing in the English county for ten years, until Zimbabwe achieved a Test status. Till then, Kevin had also completed ten years in England and was eligible for English residency. Kevin later became the head coach of Zimbabwe and toured India for the 2006 Champions Trophy. Curran passed away at the age of 53.
Who Is Ben Curran?
Talking about Ben Curran, he is the second among the three-Curran brothers but never played for England, unlike his brothers Sam and Tom. Ben has played a total of 45 first-class matches followed by 2429 runs at an average of 34.20 and three hundreds. Apart from proving himself in the red-ball format, Ben Curran has played 36 games in List A cricket which includes 999 runs with one hundred and eight centuries. Ben Curran moved to Zimbabwe after 2022 where he spent the most of his childhood. In the present season, Curran was the leading run-scorer and hence earned a national call-up.
