The Australia innings has come to an end at 207 when the Proteas bowlers did an exemplary performance at Lord’s. The first Australian innings was wrapped up at just 212, but their bowlers, especially the pacers, gave in all their potential and restricted the South African innings to just 138 runs. In the second Innings, the South Africans once again tore apart the top order and the middle order of the Kangaroos with back-to-back clinching of wickets. The Proteas now have a target of 282 runs. South Africa has successfully chased down a 250-plus score five times in Tests to date, three of them coming against Australia, the maximum of which was 414 at the WACA, Perth in 2008.
