“RCB are IPL Champions finally after 18 years. Superb campaign right through the 2025 tournament. A well balanced team Playing Bold with outstanding coaching and support staff. Many congratulations! Ee sala cup namde !!,” Mallya posted on X (formerly Twitter), congratulating RCB for the victory.

What Happened In RCB Vs PBKS Match

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) took home the IPL trophy after edging Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs in the final. Rajat Patidar’s leadership helped the team with Virat Kohli win their first IPL trophy after a gap of 18 years. The decision to begin with bowling allowed Punjab to hold Royal Challengers Bangalore back to 190/9, mainly because of Arshdeep (3 wickets) and Kyle (3 wickets). The most runs by any RCB player was made by Virat Kohli, totaling 43 from 35 balls. RCB struggled in the beginning and kept losing wickets. It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 for 38) and Krunal Pandya (2 for 17) who restricted PBKS’s score to 184 for 7 in 20 overs.
