Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana might soon be tying the knot – if hints dropped by music director and filmmaker Palash Muchhal are anything to go by.
At an event held at the State Press Club on Friday, Muchhal sparked fresh buzz about his relationship with the stylish left-handed batter. When asked about his bond with Mandhana, he smiled and said, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say.” The short and cheeky response was enough to stir headlines.
Palash, who is from Indore, followed up the comment with a grin, saying, “I’ve given you the headline,” clearly aware of the media storm his statement would ignite.
Rumours Finally Getting Real?
Speculation about Mandhana and Muchhal’s relationship has been circulating for a while, especially after fans noticed the two appearing together in several social media photos. Until now, both have remained tight-lipped, neither confirming nor denying any romantic connection.
While Palash didn’t give away too much, this is the first time someone directly involved has made such a bold public statement.

Muchhal, who expressed his full support for the women in blue, said, “My best wishes are with Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana. We always want the Indian team to win every match and bring glory to the country.”

On the work front, the 30-year-old musician is currently directing his upcoming film “Raju Bajewala”, starring Avika Gor (famous for Balika Vadhu) and Chandan Roy (known from the hit web series Panchayat). Palash, along with his sister Palak Muchhal, is well-known in the Indian music industry for composing songs in several successful Bollywood movies.
