Shahid Afridi Questions Pakistan’s Slow Batting Approach During AUS vs PAK 2nd T20I
Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has questioned Pakistan’s performance in the AUS vs PAK 2nd T20I and shared a tweet for the same on his official ‘X’ handle. Shahid revealed that more players from the team needs to deliver when it is needed and cited India’s performance against South Africa in the fourth T20I match. Also, Shahid Afridi stated that the decision to back Haris Rauf was meaningful whereas Usman Khan and Irfan Khan Niazi could have taken the team over the line.
Shahid Afridi’s tweet read, “Only a couple of more small but meaningful contributions to back Haris, Usman and Irfan efforts would have taken us over the line in Sydney. India can revolve around match-winners, like they did in Joburg yesterday, but we will require even contributions from most players if not all to succeed consistently in T20Is.”
