After Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the IPL 2025 title, the first official response from the franchise has come regarding the chaos and stampede that occurred during the celebrations. In a statement, an RCB spokesperson said, “Fans have waited 18 years for this cup. We must understand their emotions and sensitivities.”

The celebration of RCB’s first-ever IPL win turned tragic on Wednesday when a stampede near the Chinnaswamy Stadium left over 50 fans injured and unwell, and reports suggest that 11 people lost their lives. The incident occurred as fans were gathering to take part in the celebrations of RCB lifting the IPL 2025 trophy. People from across the country rushed to social media to ask why the celebrations inside the stadium continued even as fans were outside struggling to survive.
