PBKS’ bowling coach PBKS opened the batting and dropped their first wickets early, ending up with just 101 runs, leaving 35 balls unplayed. RCB reached the target with 10 overs remaining and just two wickets down. After thier deafeat James Hopes spoke to the media to mention what the team did well and where it failed and what mindset is needed in the following tournament matches.

“We played the first over okay with the bat and then it just snowballed from there. The game only finished 20 minutes ago so trying to digest it is hard in these 20 minutes, but it is also necessary that we digest it and move on from it by the end of tonight because we have to travel tomorrow,” the fast bowling coach said, as quoted from a release by Punjab Kings.

“We have got to get up to play another game on Sunday and we are going to do it the hard way now, but I hope we meet Royal Challengers Bengaluru again on Tuesday night… We have a two-day turnaround now to play another final. We have worked for two and a bit months to earn the right to have a second chance, and we are going to cash that second chance in, hopefully.” He added.
RCB Vs PBKS Match Highlights
RCB dismissed PBKS for just 101 runs when they chose to bowl first. RCB bowlers backed Rajat Patidar’s intent to field first when they quickly sent PBKS back to the pavilion for a low total in 14.1 overs. Marcus Stoinis made the highest score in the innings, with 26 runs. It was Suyash Sharma, a young leg spinner, who made headlines for RCB with his impressive three-wicker haul for only 17 runs. Bhavneshwar Kumar (1/17), Yash Dayal (2/26) and Josh Hazlewood (3/21) all played key roles in the team’s performance. RCB won rapidly, largely because of Phil Salt, who scored 56 from just 27 balls.
