In the first ODI against England, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and fast bowler Harshit Rana got a chance to debut. Team India captain Rohit Sharma gave the debut cap to Jaiswal while experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami gave the debut cap to Rana. During this, Rohit gave a special message to Jaiswal, hearing which Jaiswal became emotional, because this was a special moment in his career.
