New Delhi: One of the most decorated footballer in the modern era of the game, Cristiano Ronaldo added another feather to his cap, when scored second goal for Al-Nassr on Monday against the Tunisia’s club US Monastir at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo brakes Muller’s record
On Monday night, Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season in the 74th minute against Monastir with a signature header to give Al Nassr a 2-1 victory. Ronaldo slammed in Sultan Al-Ghanam’s cross in the 74th minute to give Al-Nassr the lead and his 145th header. He broke Gerd Müller’s record of 144 goals with a header.

The goal sparked a comeback for Al Nassr, who finished the match 4-1 in Al Nasr’s favor.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January 2023 after ending his relationship with Premier League side Manchester United, scoring 15 goals for the club in the Saudi Pro League. He is currently playing for the fifth club of his professional career, Al Nassr.

Ronaldo’s club career
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner began his club career in 2002 with Portugal’s Sporting CP. He scored his first goal in his professional debut against Braga in a 3-0 win over Moreirense. After that he has played for Juventus (2018-21), Al Nassr FC, Real Madrid (2009-18), Manchester United (2006-09) and the 2001-22 season.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored over 700 goals in over 900 club appearances since his debut in 2002. He is also an international top scorer.

Al-Nassr’s next match
Ronaldo and Al Nassr have completed their preparations for the season and the competitive season has officially kicked off with the Arab Club Champions Cup. Al Nasr and Ronaldo will take on Egyptian giants Zamalek on Thursday 3 August in the third group stage leg of the tournament.
