On June 29, India defeated South Africa by 7 runs to clinch the T20 World Cup title. The echoes of India’s victory in the T20 World Cup after 17 years resonated from Barbados to India. After winning the T20 World Cup, a massive crowd gathered for the victory parade in Mumbai, where Team India players made their way through packed streets to Wankhede Stadium. Earlier in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had interacted with Team India. The video of this meeting has now been released, where Hardik Pandya was also present.

Hardik Pandya told PM Modi, ‘Sir, thank you for inviting us. The last six months have been quite entertaining. There was a lot of excitement. Whenever I went on the ground, I was cheered. I always thought that if I respond, I will do it through my game. I got the opportunity to show my game in the last over. Surya took a game-changing catch. We were quite happy after that. I received a lot of support from the captain and coach.’

Hardik Pandya had a strong performance in the T20 World Cup. He scored 144 runs in 6 innings with the bat and took 11 wickets in 8 innings with the ball. It was Hardik who bowled the final over in the final against South Africa. In that over, Hardik delivered an outstanding bowling performance. South Africa needed 16 runs to win from 6 balls. Hardik took 2 wickets in that over and led the team to victory, becoming the champion.
