BBL 2024-25: Former RCB member Kane Richardson impressed fans with the swing of this fantastic ball that evicted Perth Scorchers skipper Ashton Turner at its very meeting.
The Scorchers were unable to have any sort of partnerships while batting as wickets started tumbling in quick succession. Mitch Marsh and Cooper Connolly both got out to ducks. Finn Allen and Aaron Hardie, however, got off to a cracking start as they put in 25 quick runs for the first wicket, but that suddenly changed.
This was one of the highlights of the innings when Jhye Richardson bowled an absolute gem of a delivery to get rid of Ashton Turner. After some initial wickets, Turner tried to stabilize the innings, but Richardson had other plans. He bowled a deadlier in-swinger, and Turner could not connect with that, and the ball slid past the inside edge, shattering the stumps.

It brought back memories of the great Wasim Akram in his pomp, whose swing bowling often left batters helpless and the stumps shattered.
