New Delhi: Cristiano Ronaldo may have bid farewell to Manchester United fans after Saturday’s 1-0 away win to Southampton. The 37-year-old wishes to play Champions League football this season because of which there has been speculation surrounding Ronaldo’s departure.
After the match against Southampton CR7 walked towards the traveling support at St. Mary’s, clapped, and thanked the fans. Ronaldo is usually not known for doing such an act, this leads to suggest that the Portuguese is saying his final goodbye to the fans.

Ronaldo is starting from the bench for United, being named just once in the starting 11, resulting in a humiliating 4-0 loss to Brentford. The Portugal ace was a late sub in United’s first win of the Premier League season on Monday against Liverpool. He was back on substitute duty on Saturday against Southampton.
United coach Erik ten Hag said, “I cannot say that (Ronaldo will leave). We plan with him. We stick to the plan.”
