New Delhi: Pakistan played a fantastic innings against New Zealand and they have successfully guaranteed their spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final. Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled a fantastic spell during the crucial moments of the game. He knocked out Kane Williamson when he was edging towards his half century.

Shaheen Afridi knocked-off Kane Williamson

Afridi knocked off the bails of Williamson at 46 which he scored off 42 deliveries maintaining a strike rate of 109.52. He took the wicket on the second ball of the 16th over. It was one of the crucial wickets for Pakistan because if Williamson would have stayed on the crease for some more time the result of the match might have been different.

Shaheen Afridi bowled 4 overs and gave 24 runs. He took 2 wickets in his spell. He took  the wicket of Finn Allen on the second ball of the first over for 4 runs proved to be crucial for Pakistan. The early wicket gave an advantage to Azam’s team and also help build pressure on the Kiwis.

New Zealand in face-off with Pakistan

Talking about the matches played between New Zealand and Pakistan, Pakistan’s position here seems to be heavy. So far 28 T20 matches have been played between the two teams, out of which Pakistan has won 17 matches while New Zealand has won 11.
