Birmingham: Teenage weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga scripted history on Sunday when he became one of the youngest player to win gold in Commonwealth Games 2022.
Jeremy is the youngest weightlifter in Indian contingent and won the gold with a lead of 7kg. When the national anthem played in the court, the Indian player was filled with pride as well as the Indian spectators.

Jeremy set a Commonwealth Games record in snatch round of 67 kg category by lifting 140 kg.
First Indian to win GOLD in Youth Olympics
Earlier in 2018, Jeremy Lalrinnunga became the first Indian to win a gold medal at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. The Mizoram lifter was touted as one for the future in the sport but while he managed to shatter youth world records.
The boy from Mizoram had set his combined best lift of a massive 306Kg in the International Qatar Cup in 2019
