Prithvi Shaw’s hit wicket
Shaw started the game against Gloucestershire, but the innings ended in 16 overs. The right-hander was batting on 34 when he couldn’t handle a rebound from Paul van Miekkeren and ended up collapsing into a stump. The 23-year-old batter looked in great touch as he smashed two boundaries and six during his stint at the crease.

Prithvi Shaw on his County debut
Shaw has previously said his stay in the county will help him regain his confidence.
“I don’t think now is the right time to adjust my game,” Shaw said. “I already have all the adjustments I need to make to my game. When I get there and clear my eyes, all I have to do is play my natural game,” he told Cricbuzz.
During the inter-squad match, the talented opener hammered 65 of 39 balls and the video was shared by the district teams. The Delhi Capitals opener had a sad 2023 IPL season, being eliminated mid-contest.
“This is a great opportunity for me and I am so grateful to Northampton shire for giving me the opportunity to express myself here,” Shaw said in a media release.
Shaw misses from Indian squad for long time
Also, he hasn’t been part of the Indian cricket team for quite some time. Shaw missed two county championship games over four days, and visa processing delayed his arrival.
