Chopra had suffered injury last month that led him to withdraw from the Commonwealth Games 2022 but his comeback has made the nation proud once again.

With the best throw of 88.4m, the 24-year-old lay his hands on the historic trophy of Diamond League. With this achievement, Neeraj has become the first Indian to bring home the prestigious trophy.

Achievements of Neeraj Chopra

– Record made by throwing 68.46 meters javelin in the Under 16 National Junior Championships in Lucknow in 2012.

-The record of throwing 86.48m javelin in the Junior World Championships in 2016.

In 2018 Commonwealth Games, he won gold by throwing 86.47 meters javelin.
