After failing to qualify for the IPL playoffs last night, CSK icon MS Dhoni has returned to Ranchi following the conclusion of the team’s 2024 IPL campaign, marked by a dramatic defeat to RCB on May 18. Dhoni played a crucial role in the match, where CSK fell short of the 201-run target required to secure a playoff spot, ultimately allowing RCB to advance.

Disappointing End To IPL 2024 For MS Dhoni
Expressing frustration with himself for the team’s loss, Dhoni has now returned home and appeared to be in better spirits. He was seen smiling and interacting with fans who had gathered around his car as he departed from the airport, clad in a light blue T-shirt.
Despite speculation surrounding Dhoni’s future in the IPL, particularly after relinquishing the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad earlier in the season, Robin Uthappa has hinted that this might not be the end of Dhoni’s IPL career.
“I don’t think we have seen the last of MS. He is not someone who takes these things lightly. He will come back roaring for sure,” Robin Uthappa told JioCinema.
CSK’s bowling consultant Eric Simmons mentioned that speculating about Dhoni’s future would be pointless. Simmons emphasized that Dhoni is clear about his own plans and intentions.
“Anybody who wants to speculate about his future, it’s going to be crazy. MS knows what he is going to do. I have seen him hit the ball from the pre-tournament camps to now as well I have seen him hit it for many years. So, he is playing extremely well and he’ll make a decision,” said Simmons.
