Fans also took to their social media accounts to laud the 42-year-old who showed why he is good enough to still play at the highest level of the sport.

With RCB looking stuck at 78/5 within just 12 overs of their innings, Mustafizur Rehman’s four-wicket haul dismantled the batting order in the beginning. Openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli along with Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell were dismissed cheaply.

However, a brilliant partnership between Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik brought back Bengaluru to a spirited 173/6 at the end of their innings, giving RCB something to fight for later in the night.
