Marnus Labuschagne leaves Spectators In Awe
In Gloucestershire’s second innings, Ben Charlesworth hit a flighted delivery from wrist spinner Mason Crane that seemed destined for the boundary at long-on. Labuschagne, positioned at a wide long-on, sprinted to his right and made a full-length dive to secure the astonishing catch, leaving the commentators in awe. Labuschagne is known to give his best effort while fielding for his side and he produced something similar to that.
Earlier in the match, Glamorgan’s captain Kiran Carlson won the toss and chose to bat first. Unfortunately, Carlson was dismissed for just 4 runs off 5 balls by Josh Shaw. Labuschagne then joined Sam Northeast at the crease, and they added 37 runs for the second wicket in 26 balls.
However, their partnership was cut short when Matt Taylor dismissed Labuschagne in the fifth over for 18 runs off 15 balls. Colin Ingram then joined Northeast (who remained unbeaten with 46 runs off 42 balls) at number four, and the pair added 34 runs for the third wicket.
