New Delhi: Lionel Messi and Inter Miami is unstoppable in the Major League Soccer (MLS). The World Cup winner captain scored the sensational goal in the League Cup final against Nashville. Inter Miami outplayed Nashville in the final as they defeated the latter by (9-10) in the 11 round penalty shootout after 1-1 draw.

In the 24th minute, the ball landed at Messi’s feet after a blocked pass from team-mate Robert Taylor. Messi dribbled past Nashville defender Walker Zimmerman and fired a shot into the top left corner of the goal just outside the box. Diving goalkeeper Elliott Panicco never got a chance to play the ball. It was Messi’s 10th appearance in seven games since joining Inter Miami from PSG.

Inter Miami’s Drake Callender was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament for thwarting two shots from reigning MLS MVP Hany Mukhtar in the closing minutes, while Nashville goalkeeper Elliott Panicco was ruled out of the tournament on a game-winning penalty. Lionel Messi next encounter details
Football fans won’t have to wait long for Messi and Inter Miami to return. Messi could make two appearances again next week. Inter Miami are expected to host the match against the USA national team.
He will be in the Open Cup game against Cincinnati and will resume the regular MLS season next Saturday (08/26) against the New York Red Bulls. Martino said on his flight home he would look back on the next game.
