New Delhi: The T20 World Cup is being played in Australia. Today, the cricket team of Sri Lanka and England are on the ground for a face-off.  The match is being played at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia. In this match, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. It is very important for England to win this match. If England wins this match, it will directly qualify for the semi-finals.

Sri Lanka started off strong

Electing to bat after winning the toss, Sri Lanka started the innings with a bang. The team scored 72 runs in 8 overs and broke the morale of the English bowlers. On behalf of the team, opener Pathum Nisanka smashed a half-century and helped take his team a quick leap.

Liam Livingstone takes a fantastic catch

Owing to the importance of the game, all the English players were playing carefully and gave their 100 per cent in the game. Sri Lankan openers started with a bang. They scored 39 runs. However, on the fifth ball of the fourth over opening batter Kusal Mendis played a miss-timed short.

On one hand the ball swayed in air towards the ‘no man’s land’. On the other hand Liam Livingston came sliding on the ground and caught the ball in a blink of an eye. The attempt and execution surprised everyone on the ground.
