New Delhi: Team India’s chance to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ended with a crushing defeat from team England in the semi final match. England knocked out India from the tournament and won the game by not even losing a single wicket. Following this all the players of team India were disappointed. Videos of Rohit Sharma crying also went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar sent a supportive video message to team India to boost their morale.

Sachin Tendulkar gave this message to Team India

The ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar believes that fans should continue to support their team despite being eliminated from the T20 World Cup. In his statement Sachin Tendulkar has said, “I know that the Semi Finals against England was very disappointing. Let’s accept that we did not put up a good total on the board. It was a tough game for us, a bad and disappointing defeat. We have been World number 1 T-20 side as well.”

“To get to that Number 1 spot, it does not happen overnight. Let us not judge our team on the basis of this performance. Players also did not want to go out and fail. In sports, these ups and downs are there. We have to be in it together,” he added.

Earlier Tendulkar posted on Twitter after Team India’s defeat, “A coin has two sides, so does life. If we celebrate our team’s success like our own then we should be able to take our team’s losses too… In life, they both go hand in hand.”

India’s journey in this World Cup

In this World Cup, the Indian team won four out of 5 matches in the Super 12. They finished on top of the table and reached the semi-finals. We qualified for the tournament, but were defeated by England by 10 wickets in the semi-finals.

India vs England semi-final match scorecard

After losing the toss team India batted first. They made a score of 168 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Hardik Pandya played a brilliant innings of 63 runs in 33 balls. Virat Kohli too played a brilliant innings scoring 50 runs off 40 deliveries.

On the other hand England’s Jos Buttler scored 80 runs off 49 deliveries. While Alex Hales scored 86 runs off 47 deliveries. Both of them remained not out and won the match for England with 24 balls still remaining.
