In the first Test between New Zealand and Australia in Wellington, Australia batted first and scored 383 runs despite a shaky start at 89/4. Cameron Green played a pivotal role, scoring an unbeaten 174 runs, while Matt Henry of New Zealand took five wickets. However, the match also made headlines due to Kane Williamson’s unusual dismissal when he collided with his teammate Will Young while taking a single.
The run-out attracted more attention as this was the first time that the Kiwi skipper got dismissed in this way in 12 years of him playing the red ball format.
