The Legends League Cricket eliminator match between Gujarat Giants and India Capitals at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium was nothing short of intense. The India Capitals emerged victorious by 12 runs in a thrilling encounter that also saw heated exchanges, notably between former Team India cricketers Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth.

The heated moment unfolded during India Capitals’ batting as Gautam Gambhir faced Sreesanth’s bowling. Gambhir showcased his prowess, smashing a powerful six on the first ball followed by a crushing four on the subsequent delivery.

Sreesanth, seemingly perturbed by Gambhir’s aggressive play, shot a stern glance towards the batsman. Gambhir, not one to step back, replied with equal intensity, exchanging stares with Sreesanth.

Fortunately, the situation didn’t escalate further as Sreesanth moved back to the bowling end, while Gambhir resumed focusing on his batting. Post-match, Sreesanth took to social media, sharing a video addressing the incident.

In the video, Sreesanth expressed his respect for former cricketers but mentioned Gambhir’s language during the live match as unacceptable.

“Just wanted to clear some air on what happened with Mr. Fighter, who always fights with all his colleagues for no reason whatsoever. He doesn’t even respect his own senior players, including Viru bhai and a lot of people. That’s exactly what happened today. Without any provocation, he just kept on calling me, something which is very rude and something which should not have been said by Mr. Gautam Gambhir,” he said.

“So, I just want to tell you all that I am not at all at fault. I just wanted to clear the air straight away. Sooner or later you’ll get to know what Gauti has done. The words which he used and the things he said on a cricket field live are not acceptable,” Sreesanth stated.

“He said things which he should not have said, and I just want all of you to know that I will surely let you all know what he said. What’s the point of representing people if you don’t respect colleagues?” he alleged.

“Even in live when he is asked about Virat (Kohli), he never speaks about him and speaks about something else. I don’t want to go further in detail. Just want to say I am very hurt, my family is hurt, and my dear ones are hurt. I never abused him, but he kept on saying words, which he always does,” he added.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
